My name is Michelle.
I am John's wife and Megan's mom.
I live in the Midwest.
I prefer my coffee black, my tea green, my wine red and my jewelry silver.
I collect bottles, spoons, old keys, shells, vintage cameras and anything I can use as a prop for photographs.
I have yellow sticky notes all over my kitchen counter, if I don’t write it down I forget it.
I don't like change.
The beach is my favorite place to be. A day spent with sand between my toes searching for 'treasures' is a piece of heaven on earth.
Yoga makes my body feel good!
I enjoy reading.
I LOVE to take pictures. One of my favorite ways to photograph something is very close, I like to find the details I would usually miss. I also like to make still life photographs, the props don’t move and I can take my time. :)
I shoot with my iphone 5 or a Nikon D600. I love my Nikon 60mm f2.8 macro lens, but use my Nikon 24-85 mm f2.8-4 zoom when I am out and about. I have a Lensbaby lens, but haven't quite grasped the whole concept yet. I enjoy taking macro shots with my olloclip macro 3-in-1 lens on my iphone 5.
I take photography classes at www.kimklassen.com. Kim has taught me everything I know about textures and Lightroom. I still have so much more to learn!
My 'one word' for 2016 is create.
This blog is my creative space to share the beauty I find through my camera lens.
My hope is that my photographs will remind me, and others, of all the beauty the world holds and to reconnect with that part of us that never forgot.
