Smile!

‘Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.’  -  Mother Teresa

‘A laugh is a smile that bursts.’  -  Mary H. Waldrip

‘Everyone smiles in the same language.’  -  Author Unknown

‘A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.’  -  Phyllis Diller

‘A smile is happiness you’ll find right under your nose.’  -  Tom Wilson

‘Happiness is an inside job.’  -  William Arthur Ward

I took these photographs at a garden near my house a few weeks ago, just getting to look at them now…

I hope you are enjoying the last days of summer with a smile on your face.  In my neck of the woods it has been hotter this week than it has been all summer!   I will enjoy it while it lasts.

Today I am joining Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday.  I played with my images in Lightroom and textured them with Kim’s texture savor in PS Elements.

Thanks for stopping by!!
Have a great week!!

  1. I just LOVE your beautiful summer shots, and the fab quotes, esp. the one of Mary H. Waldrip. Thank you for sharing, Michelle.
Autumn is knocking at our door, and leaves have begun turning brown and fiery red a month early.
    Happy Tuesday. :)

  2. Yes, summer is fading here in Northeastern Ohio as well. I'm shooting as many of my flowers that are left as I can.
LOVE your images and thanks for sharing the quotes!

  3. You know coneflowers really are a smile flower along with sunflowers I think. They are so pretty dressed in pink or white with their button hats. Really love.

  8. Such pretty end of summer images...Coneflowers are always a highlight. Do you also have yellow finches come and feed on the ripe seeds? We have a lot of them that do that.

  18. Coneflowers are such a joy to photograph - all that color and texture and design. Your images are like the last graceful days of summer - hazy and hot and a little bittersweet. Love the bee and the affirmations, too!

  19. Wonderful photo. I no longer have enough sun in the yard to plant many flowers. Amnd, when I do plant any, the deer eat them. So I enjoy seeing what others are growing.

  20. This made me smile, and we all need to be reminded of the joys that bring happiness, too! Love the quotes, and your fantastic images, Michelle! It's very hot here now, too ... we had a month of below normal temperatures and we thought that maybe we had dodged the dog days of summer ... nope, we did not! We're basking in them now ... well actually, we're swimming in all the humidity, still, there is reason to smile! :)
