From Above

‘If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.’
– Wayne Dyer

Today I am linking up with Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday, the theme is ‘from above’.  This happens to be one of my favorite perspectives for taking pictures.  Objects can look nice from the side, but everything changes when I look from the top down.  With this different view I find new things to appreciate in an object, in an ‘oh, I never noticed that before’ kind of way.  Looking closer and recognizing the beauty in front of me is one of the many things I like about photography.

I used the Kim Klassen texture frosted in blend mode color burn for this image.
I will do my best not to use a blue vase or wood background in my next post. I just love them so much. :)

Spring was looking like it made its way back to Ohio, but we are supposed to get snow tomorrow.  They say we are getting 1 - 2 inches. Hopefully it will melt quickly, I can't wait for the grass to be green and flowers to pop up.  I hope spring is finding you, wherever you are.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a great week!

Flowers

‘Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.’ - Luther Burbank

'Flowers really do intoxicate me' - Vita Sackville-West

I love flowers.  Flowers brighten a room with their colors.  They can fill a room with their perfume.  Outside they decorate a house or forest with their beauty.   Flowers look great wherever they are.

Flowers have a way of lifting my spirits, making me smile, just by being there.    Between you and me, I think they have magic in them.

Today I am linking up with Kim Klassen’s FridayFinds.
This blue vase I actually found last week as a set of three, but I pulled this one off my shelf for the first time yesterday.  I really like the shape.  I think any flower would look good in it.  The flowers I found at a local florist yesterday.  I went looking for sunflowers and none were to be found, I bought these instead.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!

Where Are You Spring?

If you are ready for Spring to arrive… raise your hand.

My hand is raised, very high.  I am so ready for Spring.  In my part of the world, the last snow storm was kind to us.  The weather man told us we were getting 8 – 12 inches of snow and we only got about 2 inches of snow and some ice.  I will be perfectly happy not to see any more snow until next winter.

Today it is very cold.  Doesn’t Spring start March 20?   I think I will send Spring a reminder email.

I am still enjoying my new porcelain tiles that look like old wood.  They make a great background.

Today I am linking up with Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday.
My photo today was textured with the Kim Klassen texture called 0212.

Thank you for stopping by!!
Have a great week!
