Orchids

"You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one.  Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own.  It's just a matter of paying attention to this miracle."  -  Paulo Coelho

Last week a friend and I went to Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio to take pictures.  They were having their annual orchid show...so many beautiful orchids of all kinds.

I took 364 pictures!  It is such a beautiful place.  The flowers and plants are so gorgeous...I really could go back and take even more!

I love getting close and discovering tiny details.

I also took pictures from underneath the leaves.

And the flowers from above.

All those little details and different perspectives make me stop and realize I live among miracles everyday.  This world of ours is an amazing place.

Now what to do with all of those pictures?  Any suggestions?  :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!
Michelle

  1. These are all so beautiful Michelle! A camera and flowers is a true match...I too go crazy when I annually visit my friends lovely flower garden and come away with so many pictures. I enjoy looking at them on my computer, but I also put them into collages to print on cards. I almost never delete any just because of the beauty.

  2. Oh how lovely Michelle, the perspective of under the leaves and mixing the cactus and orchids in a collage are really special. I also know I would be in heaven at this place, so glad you enjoyed yourself and shared with me here.

  3. Gorgeous images, Michelle and I'm jealous of your adventure to a garden ;) ... I've been pondering what to do with my images as well, and the only thing I can think of right now is to make them into cards ...

  6. You could make a photo book. What a great place to visit in winter, although you probably have less winter than we do.

  7. 364? That sounds about right. Think about grouping them on canvases. Your're a wonderful photographer Michelle.

  10. All those pretty details ... Nature and plants are a great wonder! It must have been an enriching and inspiring afternoon - discovering, admiring, and photographing ... I look forward of seeing more of your captures from the Park Conservatory - I'm in awe with the leaves, the perspective from down under is really nice!

  11. One can see from your photos, Michelle, that you must have enjoyed the experience. :) I love the opening soft and white photo, it's beautiful.
I know it's a lot of photos but I'd take the time and went through them, deleted the ones I wouldn't like and chose the best which I would process and possibly use. For a card, collage or book, it really depends on how much time you're willing to devote to it. They can also live in your laptop and wait for the time of their glory which may come sooner or later.
