Taking pictures.

Finding a pair of jeans that fit.

A good book enjoyed in the quiet of the early morning.

Kind words that were unexpected.

Flowers that brighten a room.

Tiramisu.

My daughter's parakeet running around the house tweeting.

Walking barefoot, feeling the ground beneath my feet.

Knowing warmer weather will be here soon...

Treasures Found

If you have visited my blog before you know that my family and I occasionally visit flea markets and antique malls.  At first I wasn't too  thrilled with the idea of looking through other people's discarded stuff.  But then I realized I was looking at table after table of great photo prop possibilities.  I always look for bottles, keys, cups, anything interesting that would make a good photo prop. 

Another thing I keep an eye out for at flea markets is silver serving ware.   I managed to find this silver pitcher a few weeks ago and have been waiting for the perfect red flowers to place in it.  This week I found exactly that at... you guessed it, Trader Joe's.

Spring Tulips

Spring is definitely in the air, soggy yards, warmer temperatures and I wore flip-flops yesterday.  

I wish these pale pink tulips were from an Ohio yard but they are from Trader Joe's.  They are still pretty, but I am looking forward to having flowers soon grow outside my door.  

My birthday was yesterday.  I asked for an olloclip macro 3-in-1 lens for my birthday.  Guess what? I got one.   This daisy picture was among my first attempts at using it.   I can see many more iphone macro shots in my future...

Coffee

I am not a connoisseur of coffee by any means.  I couldn't tell you the difference between a cup of Starbucks and a cup of Kopi Luwak, but I do take pleasure in a cup now and again.  I enjoy the smell, the taste, the warmth in the winter and the coolness of an iced coffee in the summer.  It isn't my first drink of the day, that would be green tea, but I do look forward to my cup of coffee.  

I like my coffee black.  My husband, John, likes cream and sugar in his and my daughter, Megan, likes her cream with a splash of coffee.    How do you like your coffee?
