'One man's
trash is another man's treasure.'
'Beauty is
in the eye of the beholder.'
If you have visited my blog before you know that
my family and I occasionally visit flea markets and antique malls. At first I wasn't too thrilled with the idea of looking through
other people's discarded stuff. But then I realized I was looking at table after table of
great photo prop possibilities. I always look for bottles, keys, cups, anything interesting that would make a good
photo prop.
Another thing I keep an eye out for at flea markets is
silver serving ware.
I managed to find this silver pitcher a few weeks ago and have been
waiting for the perfect red flowers to place in it. This week I found exactly that at... you guessed it, Trader Joe's.
Do you like to go to flea markets? If you do, what do you look for?
I took this photo of the ranunculus flower with my olloclip macro 3-in-1 lens (14x lens) on my iphone 5. |
Today I am joining Kim Klassen's FridayFinds. I used Kim's textures waterfront7_magic and simple1 on my first image.
Thank you for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!
Michelle
Beyond gorgeous!! love the pitcher, the flowers, the tones, the composition - beauty!
ReplyDeleteLove your treasures.
ReplyDeleteWhat stunning images, Michelle. I adore ranunculus flowers. The lovely moody browns you've chosen are perfect with the red flowers, and the macro close-up is amazing - so abstract, and those petals so glossy and voluptuous. I love flea markets for old linens. People thrown out linen these days thinking that it's too hard to look after, but it's one textile that just gets better and better with age and abuse. And it's often embroidered and decorated with amazing antique lace so it's a real double whammy find for me. All the best for a fabulous weekend, Bonny
