How far would you drive in a weekend to 'put yourself in the
way of beauty'?
I think we drove to our limit this past holiday weekend. We went to Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina...a ten hour drive from our house.
We combed the beach for treasures, shopped and ate. My daughter and her friend actually got in
the heated pools. John and I were content
to sit next to the pool playing cards, napping or reading. What more could you ask for? :)
Remember to 'put yourself in the way of beauty' wherever you happen to be today. :)

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a great day!

If I didn't live next to water, I would drive ten hours to get to it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for these tranquil beach shots. It's snowing here in CO. I'll be traveling through many states to get to the beach in May - well worth it!
ReplyDeleteTen hours is a long drive for a weekend, but it sounds as though it was worth it! You made it to a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds divine! Myrtle is great and your photos speak a thousand words (and I like that you used the rule of thirds in all your photos!) {P.S. I have flown overseas for a weekend trip before so don't feel bad. Did you all stay at a B&B?
ReplyDeleteIn our younger years we drove 10-11 hours to get to Lake Michigan and our favorite village. It was so worth it, and from your stunning photos, it was worth it for you as well! I love the quote also! Happy weekend Michelle!
ReplyDeleteThoroughly love that thought Michelle. A good reminder to take time out for such things.
ReplyDeleteWell this is a lovely place to start the weekend!
ReplyDeleteAww, I can hear the ocean now!! Yay, for family time that involves: napping, beach combing, photos, reading and swimming in warm pools!! Sounds utterly divine, Michelle. Thanks for sharing the beauty - and for putting it in my way! Cheers!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your new favorite quote, Michelle !
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a great weekend !
Have a wonderful week,
Sylvia
Ten hours of driving are worth it I think. A weekend with so much beauty can feel like a short vacation. It's wonderful and so good for both body and soul.
