I had a fun day yesterday. I went with a friend to a little town called Waynesville. Waynesville is a great place to shop in boutiques and also look for antiques. My finds are these old spoons. The spoons have so many possibilities. My daughter has her eye on them for creating jewelry and of course I think they would make great photo props. I may have to hide a couple…
I have been incredibly busy this past week, some fun things
and some not so fun things. I haven’t even
been able to visit Start to Finish or Be Still 52. Next week doesn’t look much calmer, my
brother-in-law is getting married and there is much to do. I will not be posting until the following
week and then hopefully catching up with Kim’s classes, oh how I missed
them this week.
Today I am joining FridayFinds, my image is textured with the Kim Klassen texture simple.
Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Have a great weekend!
Michelle
I love the antique silver spoonswith the colorful blossoms. I see a bit of the pink color in the silver! Hope you enjoy the wedding next week…sounds like fun…and so many photo pops! :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful spoons! Lucky you. I'd hide a few, too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting this in! When you are so busy, just doing a little something can make you feel a little more in the creative groove. I love these spoons and you have photographed them SO well.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. The whole of May has been bad for me since college daughter has been home. I sent her off today for her summer internship, so I am hoping to do some catching up this weekend.
ReplyDeleteVintage silver is so beautiful. Can you imagine a Victorian table set with that lovely silverware? I wanted to take Kim's class but I have so much going on it wasn't time to be still. I love your class photos.

ReplyDeleteMichelle, What a fabulous find in the vintage and tarnished silverware! You are right - these will look wonderful in many pictures - adding that layer of patina and texture. So glad you and your daughter share the passion for finding treasures and putting them to new uses. Enjoy the wedding and I'll look forward to reading your blog posts as they arrive - but real life must come first! Your detail images for today are simply elegant!
ReplyDeleteI can see those spoons as both jewelry and photo props :-) You creatively shared them and they are lovely.
