I love the ocean.
I love taking parts of it home with me, seashells, sea glass
or rounded stones. They are reminders of
family time, carefree days of just being together hunting for ‘treasures’. We may find the perfect piece, or none at
all, it doesn’t matter. The fun is in
the hunt. Walking up and down the beach,
toes at the edge, eyes on the beauty in and above the ocean, and hands juggling
finds or ready to snatch up something pretty in the water.
A day spent with salty kisses and sandy toes is a good
day. My little bowls of shells here and
there throughout my house transport me back to those days and puts a smile on my face.
Today I am joining Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday and the class BeStill 52. The assignment in the Be Still class was something tallish with a printable in the background. My images were tweaked in Lightroom and textured in PS Elements with Kim’s texture tuesday.
Thank you for stopping by!!
Have a great week!!
Michelle
Lovely. I can only imagine how wonderful it is to have all the sea goodness for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love the ocean too and bringing treasures home. Love the first shot!
ReplyDeleteOh your images are lovely!! I love the ocean, too, and am forever grateful that we live so close to it. Whenever I'm there I can't resist to take something home from the beach - pebbles, shells, driftwood. I'm particularly fond of driftwood.
ReplyDeleteThese are are just lovely, Michelle! Love hunting for special things when I'm on vacation, or just visiting a place. Love the soft whites...the light in the "tallish" photo is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI have so much fun seeing the various versions of the Be Still assignments. Your still life today, so artfully arranged, brings memories of sweet summers at the beach. I have jars of sea glass from years of collecting along the shore. Love the light and the shadows on the wall!
ReplyDeleteYour images are so pretty! Lovely light and soft colors - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteRaising my hand. I love the ocean, too, and also have memorabilia stashed here and there around the house for the very same reason you have: to remind us of the halcyon days at the beach. Your photos are breathtaking, perfect to evoke the sunny, carefree days of beach going.
ReplyDeleteLovely!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I love that last photo! And the close up of the first one too.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful treasures, Michelle !
ReplyDeleteLove the way you gathered them in your vignette ... so very lovely !
Have a nice week,
Sylvia
Oh man! LOVE the detail on the top image. All of them are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the ocean too, and how you describe the wonderful memories of days spent with your family. Your images are just AWEsome, Michelle. Real treasures. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific "tall" composition! You must live where it's warm?? I spent Thanksgiving on the Oregon coast and was alternately blown about and rained on. No pretty shells there!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images ! I love the tones, so pretty ! I love the ocean too, and have shells in bowls all over the house :)
ReplyDeleteI am an ocean lover as well. I love the first shot of the starfish where the textures are so evident....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images! I love the soft colours and texture.
ReplyDeleteI don't get to the ocean often but when we do, walking and looking is my favorite thing to do. The images you've shared are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think shells and the beach are a universal joy. I have them throughout my house too. Your "Be Still" photo is stunning - the composition, the slightly pink color. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Love the starfish with the edge of the sand dollar just showing.
