A Quiet Week

"I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in tune once more."  -  John Burroughs

"Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience."  -  Ralph Waldo Emerson

It's been a quiet week.

I don't think there has been less on my to-do list...perhaps there is less on my mind...

I suspect being outside in the fresh spring-turning-summer air may have something to do with it...

Nature seems to soothe my soul...even if it is just my backyard.

I do love to be outside, so I thought I would bring some nature inside this week with a little lavender 'tree'.  It brightens my kitchen.  :)

Do you like to spend time in nature?

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a beautiful day!

Michelle

  2. Now that warm weather has finally come I am spending more and more time outside. After all the chores...weeding, planting, getting out the outdoor furniture...I should find time to just sit and enjoy it. Love your photos.

  3. Quiet times are what I seek the most, but city living can ruin the effect somewhat! I have to make an effort to get out into nature with lots of walking or public transport, but I do it as often as I can. I don't have a back yard or garden, but I do have a balcony filled with plants.

Yes, nature soothes our souls, that is for sure! That little creature you captured is quite fascinating. It seems to be doing a little happy dance for you on the yellow plant!!

  4. Gorgeous photos Michelle! You know I love to be outside. We are going to a botanic garden today while on vacation. The flowering trees everywhere have been gorgeous this year!

  9. Spending time in nature is good for the heart, mind, body, and soul. It's been known to cure {or at least help} some of the most painful illnesses. You sure have a way with those macro shots!

  10. Michelle, I not only love spending time in nature, it is a must that I do. Almost every day, I step into nature. It brings us such peace. Your pictures are pretty, and flowers are even lovelier with a few drops of water on them. The picture of the insect on the yellow flower is something else, so beautiful.

    Let us always enjoy nature.
