Coffee

I am not a connoisseur of coffee by any means.  I couldn't tell you the difference between a cup of Starbucks and a cup of Kopi Luwak, but I do take pleasure in a cup now and again.  I enjoy the smell, the taste, the warmth in the winter and the coolness of an iced coffee in the summer.  It isn't my first drink of the day, that would be green tea, but I do look forward to my cup of coffee.

I like my coffee black.  My husband, John, likes cream and sugar in his and my daughter, Megan, likes her cream with a splash of coffee.    How do you like your coffee?

Today I am joining Kim Klassen's FridayFinds.  I used Kim's preset eve in Lightroom and the textures subtlyyours and waterfront7_magic in PS Elements.  My Find is this lovely little wooden spoon on Etsy.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. As a true lover of coffee these are wonderful and make me feel the wonderful taste of a fresh brew in the morning. In fact I am having mine right now. Agree with all of the quotes and some are new to me. Beauty at it's best

  2. Great images! The spoon and that cup are wonderful. If it's good coffee, it needs nothing added to it so I take mine black, thank you!

  3. Michelle, I am so blown away by the leaps and bounds your photography has taken since I first met you. Amazing work. You were good before but now you are amazing!! Mallory is suddenly drinking some coffee flavored very heavily with flavored creamer. Usually she is a Chai latte girl with soy milk or a hazelnut latte with soy.

  9. Lovely images, Michelle. Your palette of colours is brilliant: they shout coffee. And the quotes are great too. Speaking for myself, caffeine junky that I am, I'm with the "coffee smells like freshly ground heaven" line. First thing in the morning, sniffing my first cup of the day, that is totally how I feel. Wishing you a super weekend. All the best, Bonny

  11. Michelle, I'm working my way toward black coffee as I'm trying to limit adding sugar to my diet - though I crave chai tea lattes fiercely! Regardless, I love your images today! The shot of the coffee from above, with the sweet spoon and coffee beans, is simple and elegant. I can almost feel the warmth, and for me coffee is almost always a shared experience - either with my husband or a girlfriend - and so I love it all the more! Oh - and what a gorgeous pottery mug! Looks handmade, and I fall in love with all things made by hand, one at a time.

  12. Oh my goodness ! Your photos are just stunning Michelle ! I love everything about them ! I like my coffee ( and I'm a true heathen....instant, but the expensive kind.......I think it's called Taster's choice or something ) with a dash of half and half !
