I took a lot of pictures this week.
I found the cute flat basket in the photo above at Michael's Craft Store. It came in two sizes, I
bought the smaller one for a photo prop.
I loved it so much I went back a few days later and bought the bigger
one too. I am not even a basket
person.
We took a drive through the Ohio countryside this past
weekend and came across a railroad car.
Yep, an old railroad car just sitting on it's small piece of track nowhere near a regular railroad track. My husband simply asked,
"Where do you want me to stop?"
I jumped out of the car with my iphone took a few pictures.
I found a sunflower begging for it's portrait to be taken.
I found the full moon (above, left) as I was taking the trash out. My iphone decided not to focus in the dark, so I gave up. Inside I looked at my pictures and
loved the out of focus moon and lights. Sometimes mistakes are good...
We had a little bit of snow (above, middle) on Wednesday night. It was just enough snow to brighten the day,
not enough to close school.
At the hardware store (above, right) we found the bagging center for Santa's helpers. :)
Today I am joining Kim Klassen's Friday Finds and The Studio. The Studio prompt was flowers
from above. My top image was processed
in Lightroom starting with Kim's preset melancholy
and textured with avery. For the sunflower portrait I used Kim's Lightroom preset darklight and textured it with waterfront7_magic. My Finds this week are baskets, a sunflower, an
old railroad car and realizing there are many moments worth a picture everyday.
Thank you for stopping by!!
Have a great weekend!!
Michelle
Oh that caboose!!! Divine!!! The one of the steps is frame worthy. Your husband is the perfect man!
ReplyDeleteYour focus is just spot on Michelle, gorgeous with the basket and vase out of focus. It is nice to be in your part of the country to take drives out for inspiration. Love the grunge feel to these.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I love the sunflower with the blue cup! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely images, Michelle - especially the sunflower ones. They're up there with my all-time favourite flowers. So bright and cheerful: just what we need at this point in the winter. And I love your old railway car. What a find! All the best for now, Bonny

ReplyDeleteWhat a great combination - a drive with your hubby and finding great places to photograph. Sounds like a perfect day....I hope you have a great weekend...
ReplyDeleteI am glad you went back to get the larger basket. I'm sure it will be a great photo prop. And I had to giggle that your husband asked where to stop. Mine still has to be asked. I think he hopes I didn't see 'it'. But, my heart fluttered when I looked at your sunflower! Dreams of summer!
ReplyDeleteMichelle- man these shots are fabulous. The first and the dark bg sunflower, wowza.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the perspective in that first photo! The bright blue in the background has great contrast with the yellow.

Love them, but the sunflower and tea cup...the yellow and blue together, I think that one wins as my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHow simply exquisite your images are, Michelle!
ReplyDeleteBoth of the images with the sunflowers are beautiful but I especially like the photo in the left upper corner of the first collage, the one with the metal stairs and open door, it has a great atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, these are beautiful. I love your railroad car photos, what a great find. The sunflower is amazing too and your mistake photo turned out not to be one at all!
