This eucalyptus plant from Trader Joe's has been decorating my
table all week, I thought it deserved a portrait.
I found the cutest fluted metal tray at www.patchnyc.com, a photo
prop I am sure I will use often. The
tray looks great with my daughter's old keys. :)
This past weekend my husband drove me to take pictures
of a snow covered barn. He stopped on
the side of the road so I could get some good shots. We had several people stop to ask if
we needed help getting out of the snow, but once they saw me with my camera they just smiled or said sorry
for getting in my way. There really are
nice people in the world...
I also found a good cookbook, Martha Stewart's One Pot.
I have made the Chicken and Dumplings, it was a hit (you can find the
recipe in the book sample here at Amazon.com).
I also roasted a chicken for the first time and it was good too. Definitely a cookbook I would recommend.
Today I am joining Kim Klasssen's Friday Finds. I used Kim's textures waterfront7_magic
and sybil on my top image and painterly on the tray images. My Finds this week are a good quote,
eucalyptus, a new photo prop, a barn, and a new cookbook.
Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Have a great weekend!!
Michelle
What a super barn. It looks so marooned in all that snow. Your cookery book recommendation sounds very practical. I'm a big fan of one pot suppers that I can just leave in the oven or the slow cooker on swim club nights. Lovely photos. All the best for the weekend, Bonny
ReplyDeleteadore that top photo.... fabulous crop..... lovely light..... and that barn!!
ReplyDeletehave a beautiful weekend.... xo, Kim
Love your finds this week ! Your images are so lovely !
ReplyDeleteLovely and that barn is wonderful, wish we had barns like that....
ReplyDeleteOh Yes, I can see the little stars on your snow picture too. Love this picture of the old barn against the white snow. Your daughter's keys caught my eye because I collect old keys too. These are so pretty. It's nice to hear that you discover things every day, Michelle. It goes hand and hand with a thankful person. I really like this quote, and may write that one down.
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful weekend.

I chuckled at those people who saw you in the snow and wanted to help. Bless your hubby for stopping the car for you because that is a great barn picture. Lovely composition.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Michelle! Don't you love it when your hubby drives you around so you can take photos? I think I've done some of my best work at those times. That fluted edge tray looks awesome, I'd like to see more of it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the barn! Glad to see there are people that are concerned and willing to help if you had needed.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. A Eucalyptus plant. That is so cool and I love your shots. Simple, yet artistic. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love that tray, that is going to be a wonderful prop for still lifes, and your story behind the snow was really cute. Nice people.
ReplyDeleteNice to know people still stop to ask if you need help. Love the barn...I want to go on a barn tour!
ReplyDeleteI like the eucalyptus - I had never thought to put them in a vase. We have many eucalyptus here, they are messy trees, but I love the scent of them.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you - there are very nice people in this world.
oh wow! You have some Australian eucalyptus in your house! How wonderful. All the way from Australia to you in America. I love the smell of eucalyptus leaves. Enjoy!
