‘Love
is the bridge between you and everything.’
– Rumi
Ohio has had a lot of
spring rain. We took a drive to see how
high the water was flowing in the Little Miami River, along the way we stopped at this covered
bridge. The trail below the bridge was
underwater, so no shots from below. I
was happy standing in the middle of the road, listening for cars, snapping
pictures. I have always loved road
images with the middle stripes in the foreground.
The river was over it’s
banks in a few places, with this road being closed. It didn’t look as though any homes were in
danger of flooding, but the farmer’s fields were underwater.
Today I am linking up
with Kim Klassen’s Friday Finds. My
Finds are a covered bridge and too much water. Stop by Kim’s Friday Finds to see some other
wonderful finds.
My top image was
textured with the Kim Klassen textures paper
stained and total grunge. The second photo was taken with my iphone.
For those of you keeping up with my husband's kidney stone, he still has not passed it. It has been a long time, he is ready for it to go. Hopefully soon...
Thank you for stopping
by!
Have a great weekend!!
Michelle
Michelle, I love the leading lines in both of your photos today. Both of these images are all about perspective - and I feel like I am on a adventure with you - ready to travel the country roads of Ohio. Beautiful pictures - the covered bridge is a real find. Sorry to hear about your husband's health - praying for healing and soon!
ReplyDeleteI always love covered bridges how when you look through to the other end, beautiful old structure.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to take a series of covered bridge photos...
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your covered bridge! They're getting harder and harder to find. Last weekend we were in a part of Kentucky that is flatter than where we are and there was a lot of standing water. The grass is sure green, though!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle,
ReplyDeletethe bridge you show today on your first picture reminds me a little bit on the bridge shown in the old movie "The Bridges of Madison County" from 1995. Do you know this love movie between c.Eastwood and M.Streep?
I hope you will get more sunshine the next time!
Have a great weekend,
Brigitte
